Happy World Soil Day! Yup, that's right. World Soil Day is a day to celebrate everything dirty, and your excuse to jump in that mud puddle. Even though this day is mostly not known about, many animals love it. For example, worms. The little creatures that are responsible for fertilizing your garden live and thrive in dirt. So, what are you going to do this World Soil Day?

The Secret Beach

Esmeralda runs out of her house, arms flying behind her, glad to be free from homework. Up the hill in her backyard, at the top, she comes to a stop. It's her secret place, a place no one else knew about. If they did, she would never be alone up here again. The reason why is because this place, at the top of her hill, was beautiful. A long, white beach went down maybe one hundred feet, or more, boulders at either side of the beach blocking anyone from seeing the magic beyond. Following the white sand comes a crystal clear ocean. The sun is warm and makes Esmeralda feel as though she is glowing. After picking out some flat rocks, and laying them on another, bigger rock, she runs down to the body of water, not bothering to take her shoes off because, well, she didn't have any on. Blue Ridge Junction - New For Carowinds 2019 Season

This year the park brought back a classic area from when the park opened, Blue Ridge Junction, along with some new adventures. These include the Mountain Gliders, a panning for gold activity, Blue Ridge Country Kitchen dining experience, and the return of Blue (Originally Smurf) Icecream. And we can't forget the double launch coaster known as Copperhead Strike (shown above).  Let's break it down, shall we?       Imagine a world where there are no grocery stores. I bet by this point you are thinking that everyone would have to grow their own food. No. In the place of grocery stores there are stores filled with magazines. Aisle after aisle, magazines are resting on shelves that are never bear. As fast as people can buy them, more are printed. But, there is something more to these magazines, as they are not normal. Instead of having stories or recipes, they are full of colorful photos of food. You can tear out these photos and eat them. How it is done is that the photos are bent and can be torn. When torn, the photos are activated to smell like the food at hand. You put these into your mouth, and they feel and taste like they normally would, except paper. The magazines are made based on what is being bought the least.
