Good Things Weren't Meant To Last | A Poem For Those Affected By The Notre Dame Cathedral

How can life be so peaceful How can it be so bland When in another world It is crumbling in their hands Something that could have been stopped And even though we tried That was work of another life. Work that can't Even if one sets their heart on it Ever be remade Or replaced It held moments And memories Achievements And times of grief But good things were never meant to last And sometimes You have to accept that Even if it breaks your heart For good things aren't meant to last You have to put it in the past Regrow, relearn Don't take it for granted Even if you may Please Learn something new And use it another day For those of you affected by the Notre Dame Cathedral catching fire today, know that you are in our prayers. Don't give up hope.. and always look for the sliver-lining. Maybe its the fact that some of the precious art was saved, or that it isn't burnt to the ground. Keep your head up, even though there will be a gap in you

Moon Shifts

When the moon shifts The people will stare And wonder in spite About what is out there Is it good? Is it bad? Is it something terribly sad? Shall we perish? And if we do... Will we go out there, to join the moon?

Poem Of A Tide

My feet hit the sand as I realize I'm home Back to the place where I can run free Back to where I can be me Frolick in the sun Splash in the waves And spend all day without a care Gradually getting a bad case of beach hair But I'm without a care Here by the tide
