Clouds- More Than Meets The Eye
When you think of a cloud, you think of it as a fluffy substance that is lighter than a feather. But,
studies show that the average weight of a cloud is about 1.1 million pounds. This is because of the
water that is carried in a cloud for when it rains. Now think of the weight of Asian elephant. About 12,000 pounds. Thus, making the weight of a cloud the same as if there were one hundred elephants
in the sky. Or about the size of two transport ships. Or 4.5 railroad locomotive engines. Next time
you look up at the fluffy clouds, think about how lucky you are for them to not be something else of
the equal weight!
